UI DESIGNER (MID-LEVEL)

ChainCargo is looking for a talented and energetic UI Designer to join its fast growing team. Who are you?

You are a creative and motivated person, who is passionate about design and always tries to stay updated on the latest design and technology trends.
 

Required:

• At least 3 years of professional UI experience.

• Experience designing UIs for web and mobile applications from library components.

• Strong experience using design programs (we use Adobe XD).

• A design portfolio with web and/or mobile applications.

• Professional proficiency in English.

 

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interactive Design / Communication Multimedia Design (CMD), or in similar studies.

• Experience with an Agile/Scrum development team.

• Good understanding of HTML and CSS.

• Familiarity with Angular and Android Material Design.

• Evidence designing UIs for logistics applications such as a TMS or WMS, or other complex enterprise SaaS web applications

• Knowledge of UX approaches and principles such as Design Thinking and Human Centred Design

 

Not needed but good to have:

• Experience working in a start-up and/or understanding of the supply chain and logistics industry.

• Professional Dutch language skills, or any other European language

 

What you will do?                                                                 

As a UI Designer at ChainCargo, you will be responsible for implementing new UI designs and optimizing the existing ones. You will be expected to create prototypes, illustrations, components, wireframes, mock-ups and high-fidelity UIs.

It is very important that you have a good understanding of different software environments, as you will focus on web and mobile application designs.

You will work closely with variety of stakeholders, including a product owner, a business analysis team and software developers. Together with the UIUX team, you will work on the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of graphic solutions.
 

Your main tasks:

• Converting business analysis requirements, sketches, use-cases and definitions into UI designs.

• Optimizing existing user interface designs.

• Testing the design on intuition and experience.

• Presenting and selling designs to stakeholders.

• Building wireframes based on collected feedback and testing the low-level result.

• Elaborating UX proposals/ sketches in wireframes and/or prototypes.
